“Eric Jacobsen & Friends is becoming an annual tradition of Music at Dumbarton Oaks, featuring some of the great chamber musicians and soloists of our time as well as bringing new faces and fresh programming each season to the Music Room. This year, conductor and cellist Eric Jacobsen’s friends are the incredible pianist Orli Shaham and virtuoso violinist Grace Park. At the top of the program are works by Schubert, Chopin, Kreisler, and Messiaen, which were performed at the Potsdam Conference during the summer of 1945. It has been said that music was possibly the only thing that the three contentious world leaders—Truman, Churchill, and Stalin—could agree upon during that unsettling time (more about that at the concert). To close the evening, Park, Shaham, and Jacobsen play Beethoven’s monumental Archduke Trio.”

What’s Overflow? Overflow is a Christian community link up like no other! Think life-size games (literally), photo ops that scream "fun," music by our eclectic DJ, and atmosphere shifting performances by our live praise + worship band. It’s the ultimate night out, blending social vibes with steadfast Christian values.
Our mission? Create a safe space for all to build community with one another in a positive, uplifting and fun environment, without feeling as if you are compromising on the Word of God.
Who Should Attend? Overflow is an event curated by followers of Jesus, open to all looking to attend a positive, uplifting and alcohol-free event. All we ask is that you come as you are!
Despite this being an alcohol-free event, it is for ages 21+. Tickets are non-refundable.
